It’s been a bit of a season of exhaustion. Events with my job have really picked up, so I’ve found myself a bit swamped with keeping up with it, any attempt of a social life, and working on videos. 

I am hoping, nay PRAYING, I somehow manage to finish my next video this weekend. I fell into the TRAP of getting too interested in too many little corners, it’s already going to be more then 30min but if I let myself really run FREE I’m sure it would be an hour plus. That’s the absolute struggle with trying to manage a full time job, life, and content like I have been, I need a lot more time to produce the content I want to be making at the rate I want to be posting it, but it’s just not really feasible. It doesn't help that I am trying to catch up with savings post-Meuska surgery and pay off some credit card debt, so my attempts to gain some bonus income via social media have me burning the candle from both ends. It’s hard to do it all :( 

Speaking of, I’ve been considering setting up youtube memberships. I’m not quite sure what that would entail, because I want it to have good value for people who pay, but not add so much to my plate that it’ll make things really hard? I have a solution for that that I am going to attempt this month to see if I feel like it would work for my life schedule, but no big promises of course. 

But happy to have been streaming SOMEWHAT consistently, and enjoying the Silent Hill 2 Remake a bunch! There are so many other games I want to stream as well AHHHHH.

Meuska is doing quite well though! He’s finally free from his baby-recovery suit, and has been enjoying snuggling up under my blankets. I feel a bit bad for him because I’ve been keeping the apartment pretty cool, I don’t really know if he cares that much, but I’ve always been a COLD ROOM sleeper, and I like my living room to be a bit chilly when streaming and doing video stuff so I can use blankets without getting sweaty aha. I’m sure I’ll give in and turn my heating on finally in a week or so, but I’d like to pretend I’m saving a lot of money in the meantime. 

As far as upcoming videos: the next one WILL be a doll deep dive, then I have a vlog on deck. I have another big project in the works, but I think it's going to end up being a Christmastime release (Lots of media watching involved in that one)

Well, what I had hoped to be my "comeback" season to streaming and content has been slightly put on "paws".

Meuska, my lovely silly son, has fallen victim to the siren song of the hair tie, apparently eating over 26 of them (likely over his entire lifetime), and causing blockage in his stomach which he had to have surgically removed. This, of course, also all took place on the same day as the first day of the film school program I had signed up for, so an absolutely dreadful timeline for everything. 

Thankfully, the surgery went smoothly, less thankfully, Meuska is a homebody/mothers boy/anxious lad, so he refused to eat anything until I came and visited. He was in such a better mood with me the vets decided it would be best to send him home to recover, and thankfully that was the case. He’s been spending most of his time asleep, but still managing to get into enough mischief that I’m trying to do as much work as possible from my bed next to him so I can keep an eye out. 

For the time being, that’s finishing up a script for my next doll video which should be out within the next week or so, it’s very much a HALLOWEEN related doll line. I’m also drafting out a script about my trip to the ren faire this year, and in touch with a game company about doing a video about an upcoming release on theirs (Which I know isn’t my usual bread and butter, but it’s a company I’d like to keep a good relationship with).

I really badly want to start working on my next thrift game video as well, but of course want something a little bit spooky, and nothing I have right now is speaking to me. Perhaps sometime next week I can sneak out to a good will or half price books and see if there is anything that speaks to me. 

This is also my first year in a bit NOT doing HalloWiin, which is a bummer, but Wii horror games are simply out of my price range at the moment. I have seen a number of youtubers cover the genre lately, which is very cool, but also def doesn’t help make it more affordable for me to collect them. 

I’ve even been considering starting to sell some of my collections. Meuska’s surgery has left my savings empty, and I hate being in a state like this of not feeling like I have money in case of an emergency. I’m also going to try and push myself to maybe pick up some side editing work if I can, anything that can maybe give me a little boost to build a safety net. 

So tho my birthday looms; this will be a season of working and learning rather than relaxation for me.
